A bench of Justices JB Pardiwala and Ujjal Bhuyan held that when rejecting anticipatory bail, a court has no jurisdiction to simultaneously direct the applicant to surrender before the trial court. Rejection of bail and compelled surrender are two distinct and separate orders.
